These paintings studies are on the gold pigment I brought from Kathmandu. The gold is highly pigmented and so VERY GOLDEN…So much so that they look like different paintings when you look at them from different angles. A sweet reminder to look at life from different perspectives and you’ll see it shine in different ways <3
So this gold pigment: I have found nothing close to this in the US. So i’m doing a study on it so I can create a whole series.
I got it at the same store my dad and his dad has been buying their house paint from. I love that this generational store has this gold ( I call it secret sauce gold! ) that has no labels and is the best metallic waterbased paint I have ever used!
